Topic Relevance and personal interest: My interest in this topic stems from the climate crisis course which I found very fascinating earlier this year. What stood out to me most in the course is the concept of climate grief and how it is comparable to ignorance with respect to a lack of effective climate action. When writing the second assignment, my
focus on Arendt labor, power action concept made me realise that it is increasingly applicable to the concept of the human relationship with nature and can be used as a tool to investigate motivating factors towards climate action. I laso seek to investigate how Arendt’s writing can facilitate understanding of how to promote political action in a
way that empowers the environmentalist movement.
