Late submission of the assessment will result in a late penalty mark. Penalties for late submission: Up to one week late, maximum mark of 40%. Over one week late, 0%. Only the Extenuating Circumstances Panel may approve a change to submission dates.

Academic honesty is required. In the main body of your submission you must give credit to authors on whose research and ideas your work is based. Append to your submission a reference list that indicates the books, articles, etc. that you have used, cited or quoted in order to complete this assessment.

TASK DESCRIPTION
Task – Written Report – 2000 Words

You must select one disease and provide a report which includes the following: Introduction (250 words)

• A definition of the disease
• Levels of the incidence that demonstrate the severity of the health issue (Both worldwide and UK statistics)

  Main Body (1500 words)

• Public health measures available
• The key determinants/risk factors of the chosen disease.
• Short-term public health consequences of the disease in a health or social care setting
• Long-term public health consequences of the disease in a health or social care setting

  Conclusion (250 words)

  Relevant published UK data and statistics must be included and referenced within the report. You can choose a health or social care setting of your choice.
