July 21, 2022Human Resource Management
July 22, 2022ASSESSMENT
Details of the assessment requirements for each module are found in the Module Descriptors. However, some general points of procedure to emphasise are as follows:
- The course modules are assessed by a range of methods, particularly essay writing and examinations, with some use of individual and group project work.
- The pattern and weighting of these assessed components varies between modules. For example, modules can be assessed by 100% coursework, a 40%:60% mix of coursework and examination, or 100% examination. The precise arrangements for each module will be specified in the relevant Module Descriptor.
- All coursework MUST be word-processed.
- All coursework will be submitted online through MyPlace. You may also be asked to submit a hard copy – check your module descriptor, or MyPlace upload instructions for details. A Turnitin© report will be generated after submission.
Assessment Criteria
Course participants will receive written feedback from module lecturers on all formally submitted individual pieces of coursework, together with a percentage mark. These are provisional marks which will be moderate by an external examiner and are subject to further confirmation by the Board of Examiners. The table below gives insight into the general criteria used to assess submitted work and is intended for guidance purposes. Specific assessment criteria and guidelines relating to individual modules will be explained by the module coordinator and will be documented within the relevant module descriptors.
