February 19, 2024Part 1: Critical review of the book, “Dicken’s (2015) Global Shift: Mapping the Changing Contours of the World Economy”
Introduction
Problem Statement
The global shift has been referred to as transitional, multidimensional, aggregate and transformative procedures that have been utilized by one state or a group of States for strategically and actively mitigating the challenges regarding power positions of status within the global perspective. It has avoided socioeconomic inequality among unskilled and skilled workers resulting in a successful employee retention rate.
Argument
Dudás et al. (2016) argued that several academic contexts have described global shifts and have made remarkable insights into them. The book would be reviewed for identification of drawbacks and shortcomings of the book. After analysis of the shortcomings of the book, a recommendation for a chapter edition within the book would be provided that would eventually increase the quality of the information provided in this book.
Roadmap
The study would execute a critical review of the book proposed by Dicken in 2015. By critically reviewing the book, the thesis would propose a chapter for the book that would mitigate its shortcomings and make it more beneficial for the current business context.
