SEMESTER PAPER

Students should prepare the semester paper from ONE of the two topics provided below:

1. The recovery from the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) has been slow. Discuss the reasons for a slow recovery. Suggest policies to address this issue using data and examples from one or more countries of your choice. Use some relevant trade theories as part of your answer.

2. Given the operational models of the MNEs, discuss how has the slow recovery from the GFC influenced the effectiveness of MNE operations? Use data and examples from MNEs in a country or countries of your choice. (This topic will be presented in week 9).
