In consultation with your lecturer, choose a major event or convention.
Based on your readings, experience, the stories of others and the ideas introduced during this course, including tutorial sessions, analyse the event considering its concept, scope and objectives.
Key questions to consider would include:
- Were the objectives met?
- Thinking about the event concept and audience factors, what key elements contributed to the success or failure?
- Thinking about feasibility, was the scope accurately assessed prior to the event or convention and are there grounds to increase or decrease the scope of the event?
The overall word count should not exceed 1500 words.
FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS:
- Your assignment must be written as a Case Study which will include an Introduction, Body (answering the questions above), a Conclusion and Reference list.
- You must reference at least 3 academic resources to support your discussion, including your prescribed text and appropriate journal articles and public reports, including Newspaper articles and internet based commentary.
